FAQs

Who is welcome?

I see humans with chronic and acute conditions of pain and discomfort, as well as past trauma, depression, anxiety, and low vitality. I adore working with expecting parents during and after pregnancy. All bodies are unique and welcome. My practice is inclusive and trauma-informed. Together, we create space to listen and embrace every part of ourselves.

What is SourcePoint Therapy™?

This is the framework for our sessions together, founded by Bob Schrei and Donna Thomson, who have been teaching it internationally since 2005. SourcePoint Therapy™ focuses on the inherent health in each individual with simple practices that connect us with the Blueprint of health for the human being, that fundamental Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow present in the universal energy field, and in our bodies and minds. It is an integral approach that does not separate or prioritize the physical body from the human energy field. There is a wonderful book you can immerse yourself in available for purchase through Amazon. If you are interested in learning more about practicing SourcePoint Therapy™ for yourself, please visit the Group Offerings page.

I am a new Client. How can I make an appointment?

Hello, and welcome! Please fill out my New Client Waitlist Form. Once there is an appropriate opening in my schedule for you, I will be in touch. Wait times vary, but I promise that I will do my absolute best to see you as soon as I can! I’m looking forward to working together with you.

How should I prepare for my session?

You have my permission to just show up, however you are. Perhaps, take a moment or two to pause and ask yourself, what am I noticing in my body right now? If there is an emotion that arises, and it feels safe, notice where it might exist in your body.

Please arrive up to 10 minutes before we are scheduled to begin, this will give us time to connect and be together before our session, for you to go to the bathroom, and for us to settle into the rhythm of our time together. Once you are on the table, you can notice where your body is connecting with it and how it is supporting you, and then we will begin. If you arrive late, our session will still end at the scheduled time. If you are scheduled for an indoor session, please bring a mask. You may also bring one for an outdoor session, if you prefer.

How often should I come to receive care?

Whatever feels appropriate to you. My hope is that through our sessions, you remember how to (re)connect to your body, in moments each day, all on your own.

This work does build upon itself, and when you commit to coming in consistently, whether that’s every week, every other week, once a month, once a season -- When you commit to doing that, you will begin to notice shifts. And it will become easier to integrate the shifts on the table into your life. Sometimes people decide that they’d like to come for a few sessions fairly quickly when we are working on something specific, and that seems to work great! But everyone benefits from consistency, whatever that looks like for you.

Please note that I am typically booked about a month in advance and that I recommend scheduling at least a couple of sessions ahead if you are coming monthly.

I am an existing client. Do you have waitlist for last-minute openings?

I sure do! I recommend that you first secure a time on my calendar, and then contact me so that I can include you on my waitlist. As appointments open up, I reach out to this list before posting last-minute openings on my Instagram stories. Make sure to let me know if Mornings - Afternoons - Evenings - Weekdays - or Weekends will work for your schedule.

Where are you based?

My practice is located in East Nashville, TN. I offer both indoor and outdoor options for our sessions together. If you are not located in Nashville, or are interested in receiving a distanced SourcePoint Therapy™ session on Zoom, check out my schedule.

How can I pay for my session?

I accept payment in cash/check or through the Venmo app (@katieparkermassage). If you are paying with cash or check, please arrive with it prepared in an envelope that you can leave on the table at the close of our session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Thank you for honoring the time that I set aside personally for you. If you are unable to make your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. Sessions that are canceled within 24 hours of your appointment will be charged the full price of the scheduled service. If you are unwell or are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, or have been exposed to Covid-19, this fee will be waived. Please reach out to me immediately by phone - not email, not Instagram, please! I am not checking these places regularly.

I scheduled an outdoor session. What is your policy for inclement weather?

The outdoor sessions call for us to attune ourselves to the rhythms of the natural world. My current policy for rainy/stormy/windy days, or excessive heat or cold, will be to move sessions to the indoor location at your scheduled time. I do not always make the perfect decision, but this is, of course, a practice. Sometimes it is not possible to shift to the indoor space, in which case we will reschedule for another time. I will reach out to you before your appointment to make these changes if necessary. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you are interested in an indoor session, I always offer them on Sundays.
